Natalia (Natasha) brings over 15 years of organizational, contract and project management, cross-cultural communication and bilingual expertise. She oversees numerous Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) fishery and Chain of Custody (CoC) certifications and Fishery Improvement Projects (FIPs) in salmon fisheries of Kamchatka, Sakhalin and Khabarovsk regions of the Russian Far East. She works directly with the Oregon Dungeness Crab Commission, providing technical assistance with MSC certification of their fishery. Natalia manages clients and vendors to ensure successful FIP implementation and MSC assessment/certification deliverables, meeting project schedules and budget requirements. She actively participates in MSC site visits and annual surveillance audits of the client-fisheries to guarantee their compliance with the MSC standard’s criteria. Prior to founding ForSea Solutions in 2016, Natalia worked as Russia Program Manager at Ocean Outcomes in Portland, Oregon. Natalia holds a BA and MA from the State Academic University for the Humanities in Moscow as well as she studied human rights at Columbia University in New York. She recently completed the 2nd Level MSC Capacity Building training.
