
Katya Nadtochii
Katya first joined ForSea Solutions as an assistant in 2021, supporting scientific report translations. In August 2024, she became a full member of the team and began training in Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Chain of Custody (CoC) program support. A fish biologist and environmental engineer, Katya earned her Master’s degree in Biology from St. Petersburg State University in 2020. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D., studying fish coloration and morphological diversity in the White and Baltic Seas. She also has experience in ecological surveillance, conducting field studies, and compiling technical reports. For three years, Katya worked within Russia's Nature Conservation System, where she developed social and educational projects related to aquatic life, managed official documentation, and oversaw social media engagement. She continues to lead workshops on fish and invertebrate diversity and conducts small projects with high school students and undergraduates. With strong technical skills and a keen interest in information technologies, Katya is proficient in data collection and processing, database creation, spatial analysis software, and basic programming. A native Russian speaker, she is fluent in English and continues to study German.
